Plaxo Outlook sync alternatives : Unyk and Google Calendar
Plaxo recently started charging 48US$ for their Outlook sync services. I've being using their Outlook sync services for years now and have found them very valuable, though the price tag of 48US$ a month seems almost outrageous for such a simple service. After searching the net for viable alternatives I can suggest the following I've migrated into:
- Unyk : Currently only for contacts, though they claim they'll soon implement calendar, notes and tasks.
- Google Calendar Sync : Syncing your Outlook calendar.
- Another interesting service I ran into for contacts sync is Soocial.
If you know of any other services that offer similar functionality, do let me know.
I just switched over to Unyk and am giving it a shot. Like you, I enjoyed plaxo for some time but what they are asking for in price now is outrageous. I don't know how they can do it especially with the whole open source movement. do you know if there is a way to delete my plaxo account altogether?
